A few of our lovely ladies have been soaking up this beautiful patio weather and reminiscing about their favorite Friday night memories 💛
Suzanne shared that she grew up in Brazil and wasn’t allowed to date until she moved to the States at 17. Phyllis loved heading to Jumbo’s off Lemon Ave. to watch (and race!) cars and see who had the coolest ride. Cindy’s go-to Friday night spot was Whataburger, and JoAnn fondly remembers going on dates with Air Force men on base and attending football games.
Here at The Grove on Forest Lane, we have so much fun laughing, sharing stories, and enjoying each other’s company. Today was a good day — we started with exercise, enjoyed strawberry floats, got creative making lamps out of wine bottles, and wrapped up with entertainment and refreshments.
And the day’s not over yet! These ladies are about to enjoy a delicious dinner of chicken wings, pasta salad, yellow squash, and homemade cheesecake.

Music has a beautiful way of bringing memories to life. 🎶🥁
Today our residents enjoyed a hands-on music activity filled with drums, rhythm instruments, and lots of smiles! From tapping along to familiar beats to trying something new, the room was alive with energy and joy.
For many of our residents living with Alzheimer’s, music opens doors to cherished memories from childhood and adulthood. Songs they haven’t heard in years suddenly come back, hands remember rhythms, and hearts remember moments. It’s truly amazing to watch them light up while playing instruments and learning new tunes.
We love creating opportunities that inspire learning, spark connection, and celebrate the power of music. 💙
