The Grove on Forest Lane (formerly The Avenues of Park Forest) is under new management, and recent renovations have been completed to further enhance the resident experience and embrace this next chapter for our community.
The Grove on Forest Lane aims to be a beacon of purposeful living for those in our community. Our mission is to enrich the lives of those we serve through family, friendship, and fun. We achieve this by offering a variety of wellness programs, cultivating a close-knit sense of community, providing personalized care, and focusing on helping residents rediscover their sense of self.

Our Texas assisted living and memory care community is located in Dallas, just outside of Farmers Branch. Our convenient location offers residents easy access to downtown and all the shopping, dining, and entertainment that the vibrant area has to offer.
The Grove on Forest Lane is nestled in a smaller neighborhood, allowing us to provide more personalized attention and making residents feel pampered and nurtured. Our greatest desire is that each resident defines what the phrase “quality of life” means to them so we can match that vision with capable, compassionate support as needed.

Meet Our Executive Director
Our Executive Director, Kristen Hardy, originally hails from Indiana, but got to Texas as fast as she could in 1998. Kristen has dedicated most of her professional career to serving the elderly and their families in various capacities. After graduating from Ball State University with a degree in Psychology in 1992, she began her career as a social worker in a long term care facility of a continuing care retirement community. She obtained her Masters degree from Indiana University in 1998 in the field of Social Work. During the last 30 years, Kristen has had the honor to serve in senior living communities in Indiana and Texas. Further, she worked for Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles for several years, serving frail seniors with in-home programming and supporting holocaust survivors.
Kristen lives in Plano with her two sons, (Samuel, 21 and John-David, 19), one dog (Freddy), two gecko lizards (Scout and Scar) and four cats whom she refers to as her “grandcats” (Bettie Fay, Trouble, Lucifer and Sweetie). In her spare time, Kristen enjoys spending time with family and friends, avidly watching college sports (especially football: Hook ‘em and Go Irish!), traveling, exercising and reading. Kristen remains honored and blessed to be of service to seniors and their families to this day.
